      General Info

      Superior Academy of Music's comprehensive program allows students to receive a complete music education. The private instrument or voice lessons focus on technique and skills related their particular instrument, while the musicianship group class provides students with a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of music. Students who receive this comprehensive music curriculum will become well rounded musicians and more proficient performers. A thorough understanding of music fundamentals, regardless of instrument preference, allows students to not only improve their proficiency level but also to better understand and enjoy music. SAM's program is based on a combination of private lessons (either 1/2 hour or 1 hour), with a 50-minute weekly musicianship class that covers music theory, ear training, music history, keyboard harmony, and solfege. In the musicianship class, students will be taught through an interactive curriculum based on an integration of several music subjects and multimedia presentations. For private lessons, students can select a concentration from any of the following options: Piano, Jazz Piano, Violin, Guitar, Electric Guitar or Voice. Our faculty is formed by experienced teachers with masters and doctoral degrees in music, who are also active and renowned performers at the national and international levels. Whether for aspiring professional musicians aiming to apply to colleges as music majors, or for general music students, SAM provides exceptional training from highly credentialed teachers.
