The Miami-Dade County Department of Procurement Management manages in excess of 1,100 active contracts valued at approximately $3 billion dollars. Each year, the DPM negotiates and awards contracts that exceed $900 million dollars for the purchase of goods and services for the county's nearly 50 departments and more than 15 offices. The department uses competitive methods and electronic procurement to provide its customers with some of the best service and value for their time and money. There are three divisions within DPM that consist of administrative and fiscal, purchasing and technical services. Within Miami-Dade County, the DPM is a strategic partner that facilitates value-added purchasing for every user-department.
