Unfortunately, we live in a community with easy access to both legal and illegal drugs, and a substantial number of the families that receive services at our centers have a past or current history of alcohol and/or drug abuse. To address this critical area, ICFH has implemented a series of drug abuse prevention efforts that focus on educating the child and family about the dangers of drugs, and finding effective strategies to eliminate drug use and promote a healthy life style. These efforts have been so popular and successful that we always have many more children and families in need of these services than we are able to serve with current resources.
