Provided by YP.comWe have been going to Dixie Animal Hospital for more than 11 years for our pet Yorkie and have always been given the best service any customer has had. Their doctors and staff are very courteous and passionate in what they do when it comes to making sure your pet is healthy and stays healthy. They are also great when it comes to preventative measures whenever an emergency comes up and they offer great discounts for being a long-time customer. Just a p[hone call with any questions and they are answered before the day is out and when needing an appointment right away, there is always one available. Our entire family definitely recommends anyone to take their pet to Dixie Animal Hospital.

Provided by YP.comExcellent services but extremely expensive. I paid $19 for nail clipping, $31 for ear flushing (which i did not ask for) and $35 for ear plucking. Wayyyyyyy tooooo expensive in my humble opinion. My total bill for everything was $546 but some services are way too pricey.
Thank you for your input. We are glad to hear that you think so highly of our services, but are saddened to hear that are prices may be too high. We will definitely be looking at our pricing going forward. As you did not request the ear flushing for your one pet, we have gone ahead and issued a credit for that line item. After further investigation we did find that approximately 30% of the bill was for 30 to 60 day supply of Apoquel, which unfortunately is cost driven by the manufacturer, as well as having services done for two pets. We will be taking a look into our price structure to see where we can make adjustments. Thank you again for the insight.

Provided by YP.comI have been bringing my rescue dog here for 8 years. I brought her in last weekend to have her nails trimmed and a bath while there. They trimmed her nails, but did not bath her, even though they charged me for it. She came home with fleas. I spoke to them on Monday and told them. Tuesday they called me back asking me to bring her back in so they can bath her.
I was also told that she has some dry skin on her lower back that they asked the vet to look at, but he was to busy. How is he to busy to spend a minute or two looking at a dog???
When I called back later in the week to schedule bringing her in and advised the lady of the situation, I was told they don't have time for her. My call was then disconnected. It could have been a dropped cell call. I called back and told the lady that after 8 years, due to this I will now be looking for a new vet. She did not seem to care.
I decided to wait and calm down and them called them a few minutes after 5:00 and they are already closed. I left a message asking for a copy of her records so that I can have them to take to her new vet.
In a situation like this, where you screwed up, you should make extra effort to make things right. not blow off the customer. We will see what happens when I go in to pick up her records this morning.
We apologize for all the trouble that has been caused due to this situation. As a business, it is completely against our mission statement to act in this manner. As a family member to all of our clients and their pets, it is unacceptable and out of character. We hope to strengthen our bond with you, despite this falter, and in part want to begin that process by extending the offer to bathe your pet and check and treat the skin free of charge. We do not expect to have an occurrence like this in the future, and will utilize this unfortunate event as a learning point in future communication and service to our clients. We appreciate your business over the past eight years and we hope to continue a better relationship in the future.

Dr. Pegelow always takes the time to answer all our questions, and always calls after an appointment to follow up on our dog Lucy. Highly recommend.

Dixie Animal Hospital is a really nice and clean place -- Dr. Pegelow has a very friendly staff who know how to smile and make you feel welcome. He also went out of his way to personally call to check on our pet, and that was an impressively nice touch. Personal contact is so rare with businesses these days.
