Cristina Lopez-Pealver, M.D., FACS, is a surgeon of the Breast Center at Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in breast, oncology and general surgery, and performs procedures such as breast, thyroid and hernia surgery, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and sentinel node biopsy. Dr. Lopez-Pealver graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed her surgical residency and internship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has lectured nationally and in Latin America and is published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
