Reviews
We used Miami Rent A Car because we wanted a Jeep. When we landed at the airport, my cell phone rang and it was the company. They were bringing the Jeep to the airport, which is convenient. However, they didn't leave Miami to bring the Jeep to Fort Lauderdale until AFTER we got our baggage, even though I stated that they might want to leave sooner. So we were stuck waiting at the airport. Additionally, the representative did not show us any details about the Jeep, and when we went to take the top off (the whole point of a jeep!), it was broken and couldn't be removed. Talk about disappointing. The return of the car was stressful, as the directions instruct you to drop the car off at a Ramada Inn and give the keys to the front desk person and ask the hotel for a ride to the airport. Shady! Overall, the company representative was nice to us, but it's much easier to just rent from an agency at the airport. Most of the large chains give you a Sunpass for the toll road too.
Great place to do business with.
I used Miami Rent A Car Plus many times and never had a bad experience, in fact they are probably one of the best Miami Car Rental agency in Miami.

I returned the rental to Budget MIA. My mistake. I didn't show my gas receipt after filling the tank when I returned the car. So Budget added a second "fuel charge" to my credit card the next day. I mistakenly assumed they would read the gas gauge and see I had topped off the tank at the Shell station around the corner. Also, I hoped they would retrieve my prescription reading glasses to "lost and found", but after calling their Miami office about 10 times, no live person will pick up the phone.Corporate refused to refund the fuel charge without the hard copy receipt. In 2007 Budget settled with the FTC for this deceptive fuel fee. Read about it on the FTC web site. "Budget Rent-A-Car has agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it failed to adequately disclose a fuel fee automatically charged to customers who drove fewer than 75 miles."Apparently they are back to using the same scam as before. More profitable to pay the FTC fines than give honest customer service?
Complete lack of professionalism. Use these people if you want to start and end your vacation in total frustration. They changed the rate once I arrived at their "lot". They do carry high end cars which is why I used them. But they have low end service and low end skills. In my opinion STAY AWAY

Superior customer service, great rates, and late model vehicles.
