Gloves used to protect their hands not your food.

Watched as a worker scraped the grll with plastic gloves on. He then grabbed a rake type tool nearby, placing it on the grill holding it with same gloves on. Also noticed that workers put their gloved hands all over my food after touching the counter and not so clean utensils. It could be better. Someone is going get sick.
I've been twice after hearing of the Baton Rouge store from friends. Food was good. Service both times good. If you don't feel like driving into New Orleans for Juan's Flying Burrito; this is the next best thing!
Izzo's started in Baton Rouge and the food is a exceptional there as it is here. The vegatables were freshly chopped as was the meat freshly cooked. MY meat of choice is the steak. I normally get a "regular steak" burrito or steak nachos. Our services was quick and the food was long lasting. I have been to Izzo's approximately 30-40 times in my life and I have never been disappointed. Everyone should experience the greatness that is Izzo's
I have eaten at Izzo's in Metairie recently and both times have been greatly disappointed with poor service, and equally poor food. I had eaten at the Baton Rouge location and the food and customer service were excellent. I ordered my usual fare, cheese quesadea, and chips and queso, my three grandchildren had the child's plate, steak burritos. All of our meals were cold. The first time I thought that the restaurant was new and they just needed alittle time to get acclimated. Our second visit the order was the same, but once again , all meals were cold. In addition, while ordering, the employees filling our order were extremely ill mannered and rude.
I have no intention of trying Izzo's Metairie location again.
However, if you don't mind cold food and rude employees, Izzo's is your place to eat.
