We like this vetinary office well enough. Dr. Pirrung doesn't necessarily have people friendly skills, but he is wonderful with his patients, the animals. I trust him and will always take my pets to him.

I have 3 cats. One had been outdoors and in cat fights during the previous two weeks, the other two are strictly indoor cats. I took the outdoor cat to this vet to be tested for leukemia and to get shots, and informed the vet that my intention was to let him into the house with the other two cats. The vet completely missed a huge abcess from a bite wound on the cat, and neglected to tell me that the $150 test would not be conclusive because the incubation period for the disease is up to six weeks. I let the cat into the house with my other two cats and now they are at risk of being infected with deadly leukemia. I found that out when I returned the cat a few days after shots and testing because of the abcess that had burst and specifically asked about the potential for spreading disease. I might end up with 3 dead cats due to negligence on the part of this vet in not informing me about the dangers. I won't know until I spend another $150 to repeat the test in six weeks.
Dr. Mark Pirrung is the best vet in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex! He is caring, understanding, and loves all animals. He's been our vet for 25 years and I highly recommend Dr. Pirrung and his staff to anyone wishing to take their pet to him. Dr. Pirrung also is a wonderful surgeon. He has cared for many pets for us,. Dr. P. is the BEST!
