Founded in 1969, North Mesquite High School is a secondary school. Located in Mesquite, Texas, it serves students from grades nine through 12. It offers a wide range of subjects that include art, science, social studies, mathematics, English, technical education, music and business studies. It offers foreign language courses in various international languages, including French, German and Spanish. Its fine arts department offers a wide range of courses, which include unity, band, orchestra, choir hall, performance etiquette, and theater and music performances. It also offers various student clubs and activities, such as academic decathlon, art clubs, awards programs, cheerleaders, chess club, choir, color guard, crime stoppers, debate, drill teams, and French, German and Latin clubs. The school serves various regions in Texas, including Mesquite, Garland and Sunnyvale, and it is part of the Mesquite Independent School District.
