The Mesquite Fire Department offers a range of fire protection and emergency assistance services. Located in Mesquite, Texas, the department provides emergency medical and management services. Its Citizens Fire Academy is a 10-week program that educates participants about the various functions and services of the department. The Mesquite Fire Department also conducts cardio-pulmonary resuscitation training and certification classes. The department s training program includes guiding lessons in the areas of fire fighting, safety, communication and first aid. In addition, it issues fire system and alarm monitoring permits. The Mesquite Fire Department employs a staff of firefighters, fire inspectors and other support personnel. The department is managed by the city government of Mesquite.
