Very pleasant atmosphere! Friendly, courtious, very helpful and knowledgable. I found the owners to be wonderful. And the vaiety of items including the great pet supplies makes this stop conveinent and enjoyable. And their dog is very friendly and makes the kids excited about the visit also. Highly recommend checking them out! You could make a life long relationship with these folks!

I recently gave the V. G. one last chance as previous visits have left me with that "How can you run a business and treat your customers this way?" feeling. Needing a last minute gift to be delivered locally I went in again hoping things would we different. As with my previous visits I immediately felt I was somehow disturbing the ladies behind the counter. One of them disappeared out back when the other asked if she could help. Feeling bad about my "rush order" I politely asked if it was too late for delivery that day. There was a loud call to the back. A pause and then she (who appeared to be in charge) came back to the front asked specifics and decided yes, then walked away. Standing at the counter not really knowing what my options were I asked if there was a book or a catalog from which to choose. Again the boss returns, points at the cooler and exclaims "you'll have to get something from over there, I'm leaving in a few minutes..." I left. Busy is one thing, rude is another.
