Tenaya Middle School is an educational institution that is governed by the Merced City School District, which serves more than 11,200 students through various elementary and middle schools. The school operates language arts, math, science and social studies departments. It also conducts special education classes and provides a range of electives. Tenaya Middle School offers a variety of sports activities that includes baseball, basketball, soccer, cross country, volleyball, wrestling, cheerleading, and track and field. The school also operates a student government, school site council and English learner advisory committee.
