Aug. '08 trip from Mammoth-Yosemite to Monterey, CA. Stopped in Merced,CA. Came across this restaurant. Outsd doesn't look that nice, but we asked 2 ladies coming out of restaurant & they said it's prob. one of the best in Merced. So we took chance & we were surprised. One of the best we've ever had, if not the best! They had a little buffet ($9) but all the entrees were excellent. I didn't even have the salad bar, just the Mexican entrees. My stepkids had their burrito from menu & they were excellent! My husband & I had the buffet, went for seconds & could've had 3rd's & 4th's but we're too filled already. They also had bbq pork ribs. Buffet: Refried beans (not your ordinary refried), pork chile verde (sooo tender), mex rice, chix enchilada (flour tortilla, differently delicious), chile relleno (perfect fresh) - ALL AWESOME!!! KUDOS MIS CASA!
