It is a holding organization for Charter Steel, Charter Specialty Steel, Charter Wire and Charter Automotive. Charter Steel has a coil-making capacity of more than 1 million tons each year. Charter Specialty Steel produces stainless steel rods for the heading, spring steel and bar markets. Charter Wire is a supplier of precision, cold-rolled custom profiles, wires and shapes. Charter Automotive supplies engineered components for engine, transmission and driveline applications. Charter Manufacturing Company was founded in 1936 and has several manufacturing facilities Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan in the United States, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom.
