• South Town Small | Porter 24 IBUs 5.5% ABV
  Roasted malt and Caramel flavors dominate the nose and taste. This porter finishes with a dry maltiness. We added a bit of molasses to enhance the flavor and complexity.

• Pleasure Trip | Blonde Ale 23 IBU 5.6% ABV
  Our blonde ale is a year round selection. It has a refreshing taste, light body and crisp finish. Our blonde ale is for those who enjoy full flavors but desire a less hoppy profile. The grain bill is simple with mostly 2 row. The appearance is light golden and the Nelson Sauvin hops produce a floral bouquet and berry aromas.

• Bad Intentions | IPA 69 IBUs 6.9% ABV
  This is the bigger, bolder, brother of Initiation our session IPA. Intense citrus aromas along with crystal malts work well together to provide a refreshing flavor. 69 IBU and 6.9 ABV tastes so great. Is this a mere coincidence or are we up to something? You Decide.

• Far From Ordinary | Session English Ale 24 IBUs 4.7% ABV
  This Session English ale shines in it's classic mat and hop profiles. Nutty, toasty biscuit aromas and flavors are followed with a balanced bitterness. English malt, hops, and yeast are used in making this gem that is, you guessed it, far from ordinary. A portion of the proceeds from this beer go towards funding Japheth Cato's journey towards the olympics. Like this beer Cato (4th in the world currently) is anything but ordinary. • Cluster, Damn Near Killed Her | Double IPA 90 IBUs 8.5% ABV
  Our customers got in on the action and voted the name of our newest release. This is a double IPA that is uniquely balanced in its malt and hop presentation. The result is a wonderful bouquet on the nose. We used Cluster hops for bittering and dry hopping. This does not taste like an 8% beer so sip wisely.

• Everleigh | English Style Special Bitter 39 IBU 6% ABV
  Maris Otter, flaked oats and crystal malts make up the grain bill on this classic English style ale. Complex yet light hints of biscuit and toasted flavors are evident. We used fuggle and UK East Kent Goldings for both bittering and aroma. The toasted malts and earthy hops produce a great beer with each sip as enjoyable as the first one.

• Habitual | Dark Cascadian Ale 75 IBU 5.8% ABV
  This year round selection more commonly known as a Black IPA is one of our personal favorites. Your tastes buds will definitely thank you as you experience the complexity of 2 row, vienna, select dark roasted specialty and chocolate malts. We selected Chinook, Citra, Amarillo and Cascade hops to give it that classic pacific northwest flavor and aroma where this style originated.

• Rise of the Red Roggen | Roggenbier 20 IBU 5% ABV
  Some challenges are worth facing head on, blood sweat and tears. This historical style calls woefully from the dark, begging to be brewed and imbibed by those eager for its rambunctious rye character. Unlike many modern uses of this sly ingredient, this style requires a minimum of 50% malted rye in the mash, just like the malted wheat in its German Weizen counterpart. This beer pours sluggishly, thick with complex proteins that form into a frothy head. One sip will reveal the ryeful radiance that this beer features. Spicy in the nose, it is rounded out by a hearty dose of Munich malt and caramel rye, and features a clean, dry finish.

Seasonal Releases

• Amour | Northern English Brown Ale 25 IBUs 5.7% ABV
  A combination of caramel, toasted bread and light chocolate notes are in this malty traditional style ale. Hops are present just to add a balance to the malt.

• Liquid Gold | Belgian Blonde Ale 18 IBU 4.7% ABV
  This ale is light and easy drinking with a crisp slightly dry finish. Honey malt adds a coy sweetness but this beer is all about the yeast. The Belgian Ardennes strain produce floral and pronounced spice aromas.

• Sarah Meloncholy | Belgian Saison 25 IBUs 5.8% ABV
  Named after our GM Sarah Melon, This is a delicious farmhouse style beer created by our head brewer Andy Coleman and Nick Murray of Part Time Productions. They added Kaffir lime leaf, sweet and bitter orange peel, lemon zest, grains of paradise, white/ green/ and black peppercorn. What you get is a very complex and yet delicately balanced ale with a faint spicy finish very reminiscent of Sarah's personality. Don't let the name fool you this beer (like Sarah) is bad ass.

• Metrosexual Chocolate Stout | 6.5% ABV
  This American style stout is a collaboration with Chicago's own Metropolis Coffee and our base stout recipe. We got stupid and added 10 lbs of fresh roasted Ethiopian Ayleye whole coffee beans and 9 lbs of organic raw Cacao Nibs. Smells sexy - tastes sexier.

• Initiation | IPA 50 IBUs 5.0% ABV
  This session IPA is intended for those who love hoppy beers but would like to back off on the ABV's. Fruity and bubblegum aromas tickle the nose along with grapefruit and lemon peel . This IPA has a very pleasant citrus hoppy taste and finishes with a bitter bite.

• Fire Mouth Red | Imperial Red Ale 80 IBU 8.5% ABV
  Our blonde ale is a year round selection. It has a refreshing taste, light body and crisp finish. Our blonde ale is for those who enjoy full flavors but desire a less hoppy profile. The grain bill is simple with mostly 2 row. The appearance is light golden and the Nelson Sauvin hops produce a floral bouquet and berry aromas.

• The Usual Suspects | Steam Beer 47 IBUs 7.4% ABV
  Our seasonal release just in time for football season is a medium bodied, copper colored, lager style beer fermented at ale temperatures. Caramel and baked bread with hints of butterscotch flavors are complemented with traditional IPA hops for aroma and a big ABV kick. Pairs well with burgers and grilled sausages, among other things. Enjoy a pint or two while watching your favorite team, at 7.4% ABV win or lose this beer will have you feeling great!

• Loaded Dice | Northern English Brown Ale 25 IBUs 5.7%
  Intense chocolate along with freshly baked bread aromas are dominant in this tasty beer. LD is lighter in both body and color than our porter with a bit more hopped forward flavor which is characteristic of American versions of this traditional style ale.

• The Hideout | Hefeweizen 13 IBUs 4.7% ABV
  Winter is finally gone and it wont be missed. German wheat and pilsner are the base malts for this very light and refreshing seasonal release. Banana, bubble gum and cloves tickle the nose. Its low alcohol content makes The Hideout a great choice for day sipping. Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.

• Mistletoe Optional | Scottish Ale 35 IBU 6.8% ABV
  This seasonal winter beer has strong notes of caramel and freshly baked bread. Marris otter, raosted barley and Scottish ale yeast play well off one another to produce a full, malt forward, easy drinking beer. After a few of these the mistletoe is optional.

• Sin Sipper | Belgian IPA 60 IBUs 6% ABV
  This is a light and easy drinking session Belgian IPA made to be consumed in quantities. Its mild sweetness and colorful Belgian flavors and aromas play well with the mild bitterness expected of a light summer session pale ale. Sip all day guilt free. What happens at VD stays at VD.

• Back Alley | Double IPA 90 IBU 8.5% ABV
  This is a double IPA that is uniquely balanced in its malt and hop presentation. The result is a wonderful bouquet on the nose. We used Cluster hops for bittering and dry hopping. This does not taste like an 8% beer so sip wisely.

• Kitchen Sink #2 | American Pale Ale 70 IBUs 5.9% ABV
  Like our Crazy Parttime Mindblower, this beer is part of our "kitchen sink" series where we used leftover grain and hops from our other beers to create a whole new, unique, and interesting beer. By using left over grain we are able to reduce our waste, increasing our sustainability in the South Loop community. This beer has a distinct pop of flavor that is complimented by those classic pale ale citrus notes. If you are looking for something hoppy and drinkable, this beer is for you!

• Relapse | American Stout 30 IBUs 5.7% ABV
  This classic version of an American stout has plenty of roast, dark chocolate and hints of coffee notes that all come together in this rich and full body ale. The finish is clean and dry with a bias towards the grain malt. Relapse is perfect for the impending change of season but light enough in presentation to enjoy year round.

Single Batch Releases

• Arianna Ardennes | Belgian Blonde Ale 18 IBUs 5.2% ABV
  This ale is light and easy drinking with a crisp slightly dry finish. Honey malt adds a coy sweetness but this beer is all about the yeast. The Belgian Ardennes strain produce floral and subtle spice aromas. Sip a pint or two completely guilt free as a portion of each pint goes to help pay the medical expenses for little Arianna.

• Crazy Part-Time Mind Blower | American Pale Ale 70 IBUs 5.9% ABV
  Our first West Coast style American pale ale release. We got a little crazy and dry hopped with enough Mosaic, Amarillo and Cascade to support the boldest of IPA's. This beer is lighter in body and ABV yet blows your mind in its full aroma, rich citrus flavor, crisp taste and finish and overall drinkability. Yep it's Da bomb!!

• Cherry Vanilla Porter | Porter 24 IBUs 5.5% ABV
  Roasted malt, bitter chocolate, hints of vanilla and dried cherries are present in the aroma and tastes. This porter finishes with malty sweetness.

• Blonde Ale infused with dried Raspberries 24 IBUs 5.6% ABV
  This seasonal blond is our base Pleasure Trip infused with freshly dehydrated raspberries. It has delicious taste, light body and crisp finish expected with our traditional blonde ale accented by hints or raspberry and slight tartness that drinks very easy. The appearance is deep golden with some mild reddening from the raspberries producing a very light pink head.

• Not Unattractive | American APA 64 IBUs 6.5% ABV
  Late hop additions and dry hopping give this otherwise malty beer a great hop aroma but subtle bitter finish. Galena, Mosaic, Cascade are all responsible for this flavorful beer. It's slighty darker than traditional Pale Ale but not exactly an Amber. Whatever you want to call it is fine by us. Enjoy!

• Santa's Rein-beer | Spiced Scottish Ale 35 IBU 6.8% ABV
  Santa's Reinbeer, our holiday beer, is made with the Mistletoe Optional as it's base and is then infused with peppercorn, allspice, and cinnamon. The resulting beer is easy drinking with an interestingly spicy finish that is accompanied by the holiday goodness that comes with allspice and cinnamon. One sip of this an you'll immediately think about Santa and his favorite red-nosed reindeer (both vouch for this beer!)

• That's not my back, Sir. | Double IPA 7.2% ABV
  We packed the mash tun with enough grain to create a Double IPA but the yeast gave up the fight just little over 7.2% ABV. Ironically the beer was very balanced in its presentation. So we decided to leave it as is versus pushing for a higher alcohol percentage. No it's not a Double IPA. This is just a Big Ass full-bodied IPA guaranteed to please those who fancy classic American West Coast style IPAs.

• Valentine's Day Shandy | Infused Hefeweizen 13 IBUs 4.7% ABV
  We decided to do a little something fun for Valentine's day and boy it did not disappoint. We took our hefeweizen and infused it with passion fruit juice for the holiday made for the passionate. The result was an incredible interesting, sweet, tasty treat to drink alone or with a partner. Because of the juice infusion this beer is more like a shandy and with limited quantities, you've gotta get it while it lasts!
