DSWT Chocolate Elephants

• Chocolate Elephants for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: Up to 100 elephants are killed each day in Africa by poachers hunting for ivory, according to the UN. Today only 470,000 elephants remain on the continent, down from 3 - 5 million a century ago. As poaching and habitat loss continue, increasing number of elephants are orphaned. Founded in 1977, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) is a charitable organization in Kenya renowned around the world for its orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program. The Trust has successfully rescued, raised and reintegrated into the wild 190 orphaned elephants to date. L.A. Burdick Chocolates honors the vision and efforts of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with our specially created limited-edition chocolate elephants.
