With the growth of its Springs brand, Continental Properties Company is becoming a nationwide apartment developer and owner in the United States. The privately-held company has grown from a small real estate company to having a larger presence in the development industry. Along with apartment development, the company offers retail and commercial property development. Stores such as Target, Lowe s and Pier 1 imports are found in many of the properties the company has developed. Through the company s Continental Hospitality division, it has entered into the full-service hotel market. Continental Properties Company is headquartered in Menomonee Falls, Wis., and has offices in Illinois, Ohio, Florida and Arizona. Three 20-year-old college students established the company in 1979.
