General Info
Children, adolescents, and adults often undergo stressful changes and experiences. You may encounter tremendous difficulties. Are you, or your child, feeling lonely, anxious, hopeless, or overwhelmed? At times, life may seem impossible to manage, but there are solutions. I believe people are incredibly resilient: they can learn, cope, and adapt. You can heal and improve your quality of life. Whether it is academic underachievement, emotional or behavioral difficulties, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, anxiety, infertility, trauma, or grief and loss, counseling can help. As a psychotherapist, I can provide support and guidance to help you adjust to these changes, heal, and experience a more peaceful and fulfilling life. Childhood and adolescence is a very unique developmental time in life. There are many issues that children and teens face that require specialized evaluation and treatment. I have eight years of experience counseling children and teens. In addition to treating children and adolescents, I also specialize in working with individuals of any age who are dealing with infertility, grief and loss issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, and depression are often intertwined. Infertility and/or pregnancy loss is filled with grief, riddled with anxiety and sadness, and can be traumatic. I am a professional member of Resolve, the National Infertility Association. As a Registered Art Therapist, I also offer Art Therapy as an alternative to verbal therapy. Art Therapy can help people express their thoughts and feelings during therapy. This can be particularly useful with children and adolescents, or trauma victims, who may have difficulty verbalizing their thoughts and feelings.
