- Pediatric CareUltrasound is an imaging study which obtains information by the use of sound waves. It has wide spread applications, is safe, noninvasive, and does not use ionizing radiation. It has frequent use in OB/Gyn, vascular imaging, and pediatrics, and is often the initial imaging study performed.
- Primary CareAlthough there are many aspects of cancer that are common, its effect on individual patients has unique variability. We believe in a tailored, personalized approach in helping patients win the fight against cancer, using advanced technology and highly qualified supporting staff. Our Radiation Oncologists are doctors specially trained to treat patients with radiation therapy. We are board certified, Wisconsin licensed Physicians who work closely with all doctors involved in your cancer planning and treatment, including primary care doctors, medical oncologists and surgeons, to ensure that radiation is used appropriately and effectively. As radiation oncologists, we oversee the delivery of radiation for all of our patients. We work with other members of the radiation oncology team including medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and nurses.

- Prostate CancerThedaCare Regional Cancer Center recently reached a new milestone, treating its 100th prostate cancer patient with high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. This important treatment option is not available at many community cancer centers, as it demands specialized expertise, equipment and experience. Until recently, the treatment was only available at Wisconsin’s academic centers. Many years of brachytherapy experience and dedication to building a high-volume brachytherapy program, have enabled the prostate cancer leaders at ThedaCare to offer this program where HDR brachytherapy can be used to help patients.

- UltrasoundImaging protocols are reviewed and customized to in order to provide all information necessary to answer the questions of clinical concern. We are available throughout the day to review imaging requests and help determine not only if an examination is appropriate, but also to help determine if an alternate exam such as ultrasound or MRI can be used, in order to prevent any unnecessary radiation exposure.
- MRICT is an exam which uses thinly collimated x-rays to produce high quality imaging of internal anatomy. It may require oral or IV contrast for optimal benefit. Exams are quickly performed, and less susseptible to motion compared to MRI exams.
- RadiologyWhen it comes to your health, appropriate imaging and accurate interpretation is key. Our 21 board-certified Physicians interpret over 250,000 cases per year, and adhere to strict quality and safety standards advocated by the American College of Radiology. We also place importance on helping to educate patients more about the Radiology services available to them.

- Nuclear MedicineThis is an imaging study performed by ingestion or injection of a very small amount of radioactive material, taken up in certain parts of the body, and detected by special cameras outside of your body. A computer is used to produce images of the area of interest. Many types of material can be given.
- MammographyOctober is breast cancer awareness month. We are strongly aligned with ThedaCare in promoting 3D mammography, a modality which has been proven to increase the early detection of breast cancer. This imaging study has also been shown to decrease the rate of repeat exams for potential findings seen on initial screening mammography. Dr. Sung, chief of the mammography section of AppleRad, was spot lighted in a brief discussion of this imaging modality with the local news station.
