Obesity affects over 33% or 72 million adult Americans and 17% of American children and over 66% of Americans are either overweight or obese. With obesity rates increasing steadily regardless of age, class, sex, race, ethnicity, level of education or geographic region, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is now stating that obesity is an equal opportunity epidemic.
