General Info

Dr. Giel is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He provides cutting-edge surgical techniques, including minimally-invasive and arthroscopic procedures. He also specializes in shoulder reconstruction, total shoulder replacement, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration and meniscal transplantation of the knee. As an associate master instructor at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago, he trains other surgeons in modern practices and minimally invasive techniques. He is affiliated with athletic teams at St. George's Independent School, East High School, White Station High School and the Greater Memphis Soccer Association.
