- We are a full service hospital offering a variety of services to our customers from routine vaccinations, annual exams, heartworm testing and treatment, prevention against parasites, and general surgery. We also perform many orthopedic procedures such as the Swiss TTA Cranial Cruciate Ligament, TPLO Cruciate Surgeries and conventional cruciate surgery; spinal surgery for Disk disease; Fracture repair by bone plating. General Info
Stage Road Animal Hospital was founded by James R. Pearce, DVM in 1974. Dr. Pearce graduated from UT - Knoxville in 1968 (College of Agriculture) and Auburn University in 1972 (College of Veterinary Medicine.) Dr. Pearce has been caring for athletic dogs, Greyhounds and field trial dogs since 1974 providing them with crucial treatment such as canine ACL surgery. His special interest in orthopedics (bone implants and cranial cruciate ligament repair) has allowed him the opportunity to perform surgery on thousands of cases over the years. Dr Pearce has done TPLO surgeries since 2000 and TTA surgeries since 2008. We accept referrals from veterinarians in Arkansas, Mississippi, as well as all who need dog ligament surgery in Tennessee.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr Pearce for probably 13/14 years. He is an excellent vetanarian and I would and have trusted him to take care of all my pets health. Everyone in the office is very helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have. If you are looking for a good vet call Dr Pearce.

Been the vet for my 2 minature schnauzers since they were puppies (8 years old now) and was a referral from a friend who used him. Great Man love the staff !
Dr Pearce saved my little dog when he stayed outside too long. My little dog is my best friend and I will never forget how hard he worked to save him. The entire staff is so kind and friendly to us and our pets. I would never go anywhere else. Bill Bratten

I LOVE THIS CLINIC!! THERE STAFF IS VERY CARING, LOVING, AND UNDERSTANDING. THEY SEEM TO REALLY CARE ABOUT MY PETS! AND I TRUST NO ONE ELSE EXCEPT FOR DR. PEARCE AND HIS RELIEF DR. MCDOWELL TO TREAT MY PETS. DR. PEARCE HAS SAVED MY PETS LIVES ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS!! I CHOOSE NO ONE ELSE BUT STAGE ROAD ANIMAL HOSPITAL!! THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN HILLCREST, RALIEGH-BARTLETT, OR ANY OTHER MEMPHIS VETERINARY OFFICE THAT HAS BEEN SO RUDE TO ME!
