Shelby Residential & Vocational Services, commonly known as SRVS, is a United Way partner agency and one of the largest service providers for people with developmental disabilities in the mid-South region. It maintains the Kramer Activity Center, which focuses on social and self-care skills and prevocational training. The agency conducts occupational workshops that help individuals develop strong work ethics and skills for competitive employment. Shelby Residential & Vocational Services also operates more than 80 community living sites for adults and children. It offers intermediate care facilities for people who need intensive medical and therapeutic care. The agency s employment program provides trained employment specialists and job coaches who evaluate work strengths, aptitudes and interests and place individuals in community jobs. Shelby Residential & Vocational Services additionally offers speech, language, occupational and physical therapies and case management services and is headquartered in Memphis, Tenn.
