He graduated second in his class from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1980. Dr. Sutherland is member of the American Dental Association and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. As a Houston resident since 1975, he is also an integral part of the local dental community, maintaining active membership in the Texas Dental Association and Houston District Dental Society. Dr. Sutherland and his wife, Deborah, have four children: Jennifer, Rebecca, Elysia, and Kelsey.
