I have been to this restaurant several times and find the food is very good. I especially like their potatoe pancakes. This place seems to be busy all the time. Have to wait in line to get in but well worth it.

DO NOT EAT AT SABINA'S POLISH RESTAURANT IN MELVINDALE, MI!!! Seriously. This place is NASTY!! Cabbage soup with no hint of tomato at all. The kraut had NO FLAVOR. The stuffed cabbage had absolutely no flavor either and the pierogis I had tasted like they were fried, BURNT, then frozen and reheated in the microwave and served to me a week later! The kielbasa my husband had was freezer burned beyond belief before it was cooked. My daughter's grilled cheese wasn't even fully melted and the potato chips served with it were STALE! If you want good Polish food, please go elsewhere!!!

Provided by YP.comThis was the best polish food I have had in years. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I didn't eat in, so I couldn't comment on the wait staff. The cashier could be a little friendlier.

This restaurant serves the best home cooked Polish cuisine. The chicken noodle soup is to die for.
My husband had the Polish platter with kielbasa, pierogis, stuffed cabbage , potatoes, and veggie. He said that everything was excellent. I had the nalesniki and it was superb.
The waitstaff on the other hand, was awful. We were one of two tables seated just as the restaurant opened in the morning. Our waitress did not say Hello or Good morning. Instead she literally said, "Are you ready" ? as she rolled her eyes and acted very impatient. We had a group of 5. Not everybody was ready to order, we had just sat down. The waitress was obviously very impatient. She left. When she returned she said, "Are you ready now, I have things to do"
We ordered.
When the food arrived, I asked for a side of applesauce because my nalesniki did not come with anything. No sour cream or no apple sauce which is normally served with it. The waitress snobbily said, "There will be a charge for that" I said, "Thats fine". My husband asked for a refill on his soda. The waitress said, "I have to charge you for that" My husband said , " I understand" The waitress replied, "Oh do you"? As if to mock my husband. We had had enough, this waitress had obviously woken up on the wrong side of somebody's bed.
I would recommend this restaurant but not in the morning. Great food - It's too bad that the waitstaff made a lousy impression on us.
