If you are a glutton for punishment or your last name is Rockefeller, and you decide to go with Coast, please be sure and check the bill they hand you when you are done. They overcharged me on the first visit and I didn't catch it until I got home. They did fix the overcharge, but only after I had spend 10 minutes convincing the office manager that they billed me for a procedure on the wrong tooth. Also, please don't look at the fee schedule on your dental plan and think that's all you pay. They add in charges that are not covered by dental plans and they are ridiculous. Things like $165 for antibiotic root canal irrigant'? I don't know what irrigant they use, but it must be made from ground diamonds. Sodium Hypochlorite seems to be the main one commonly used for root canals, and I found a whole bottle of the stuff for $12.95 at a dental supply store.

From the minute you walk in the door, it is clear that the number one priority of this place is your bank account, not your teeth. Starting with that bogus free new patient coupon, which is their hook to get you to make an appointment and get you in the door. After you are in the door and have filled out the new patient paperwork, you will find out the coupon is worthless if you are on any kind of dental insurance or dental plan. Of course, their charges are insanely expensive without a dental plan, so they will offer you their Free SmilePlus Dental Plan, and once you accept, the free coupon is immediately null and void. They will then try to sell you on the most expensive set of new patient services they possibly can. After they get you to agree to pay for and submit to the x-rays (they are constantly shoving papers in your face to try to get you to agree to pay for something), you will then see the dentist.
They don't communicate with the care givers of Special Needs patients. Lack of communication is forgivable; however the rudeness of the cashier is not!! After being informed my son is Mentally Challenged, the dentist did not explain the treatment plan. The cashier is so rude, I never received such poor customer service, and poor attitude at any place of business. Kim M.
