I would give Dr. Hicks and the staff at the Akron-Medina Veterinary Hospital 5 out of 5 stars. I really appreciate that they have a special wing just for cats too.

There are not that many people that would go out of their way to help a stranger but the staff at the Akron-Medina Veterinary Hospital are a few of them. They are a great staff who will stay late to help our their patients.

I really like that it's a one stop shop for all the services that my dog needs. They do a great job and are wonderful with her.

I would never consider going to a different vet. The doctors and staff are like family!

their staff is excellent. They are wonderful people and do such great work with animals. I could not be happier with the treatment of my dog.
Dr. Hicks is a knowledgeable Veterinarian who cares as much about your pet as you do. The staff is awesome and accommodations at their pet resort are beautiful, with large fiberglass cages that are kept spotlessly clean. I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pet.

This facility and the people that work there are wonderful. We take all of our pets to Dr. Hicks. He is very kind and we trust his abilities. The cost of vet bills now-a-days is a concern and he is conscious of that when discussing our pets' care. We've been to other vets that were closer to our home and we were not happy with their services. Then we found Dr. Hicks and we've been trusting him with our 4-legged family members ever since. Thanks to Dr. Hicks and his staff!

We love Dr. Hicks! We have three cats and two dogs and he has been wonderful to all of them. He knows their personalities, and ours for that matter. When any of the cats or dogs are sick, we are seen that day! We can't say enough about him and his staff. They are wonderful!

I have used this vet from 1992 to 2004. When I got a new puppy there was no question that I was coming back. The people are friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Hicks is great! I have referred others here and will continue to do so.
Akron-Medina veterinary hospital is a horrible place to take your pets. We brought our 14 week old puppy there for a cough. Instead of focusing on treating the cough, they gave her several vacinations. Two weeks later we took her to another vet who explained that our puppy should not have received all of those vacinations at once for how young she was. Also, they failed to communicate to us how important the cough condition was, what to be mindful of and they did not want to follow up for 3 weeks. Long story short, our puppy ended up in the hospital 3 weeks later. The first question they asked is why was the dog vacinated for something she was being treated for (kennel cough) and why was she given vacinations in the first place when her immune system was already occupied with something else, which would not allow it to react to the vacination properly. My thoughts, to increase the bill. Each shot was an additional $15-$20. STAY AWAY!
