- Radiation TherapyBreast reconstruction recreates the breast in women who have had their breasts changed or removed by breast cancer surgery or radiation therapy. The goal is to rebuild a natural looking breast that matches the natural breast in size and shape. Breast reconstruction can be performed at the time of mastectomy or as a delayed procedure. Delayed breast reconstruction can be performed anytime from several weeks to years following mastectomy. Breast reconstruction is typically a series of operations performed to maximize the aesthetic outcome and symmetry of the breasts. It is important to realize that breast reconstruction includes operations performed on the non-cancer breast such as breast lift, augmentation, and reduction to create symmetry with the reconstructed breast. These procedures are all covered by insurance.

- Brow LiftA brow lift raises the eyebrows and alleviates the creases on the forehead and brow. This helps to create a more youthful and rested appearance. This procedure is most often performed in conjunction with other facial procedures. Most commonly, a brow lift is performed with surgery of the eyelids, but can be combined with most other procedures as well. Dr. Kreul performs brow lift surgery endoscopically using 4 small incisions in the scalp and specialized instruments to rejuvenate the forehead.
- Eyelid SurgeryThe procedure involves collecting fat from one area of the body and reinjecting it into another area to correct a defect. Patients typically require some sedation for comfort during the procedure. A fat transfer can be done alone but can also be done in conjunction with other surgeries, particularly facelift or eyelid surgery, to correct any associated wrinkles or depressions, such as the nasolabial lines extending from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
- LiposuctionLiposuction is used to remove fat from areas that do not respond to diet and exercise. Common areas benefiting from liposuction are the hips, thighs, abdomen, knees, ankles, face, neck, and arms. The best candidates for liposuction are people with good skin tone who are near normal weight but have localized fatty deposits. The result is improved abdominal contour and a more attractive shape.

- Breast ReductionBreast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) is performed for women with large breasts who are experiencing back, neck, and shoulder pain due to the weight of their breasts. Other medical problems associated with large breasts that can be alleviated with breast reduction surgery include skin irritation, bra strap indentations, poor posture, and interference with normal daily activities such as exercise. Breast reduction surgery removes excess fat, breast tissue, and skin from the large sagging breasts. The result is smaller, lighter, firmer, and more shapely breasts. The operation can alleviate the health problems associated with large breasts and improve a woman's confidence in her appearance. Reduction mammaplasty is often covered by insurance.
- Breast LiftBreast lift surgery (mastopexy) raises and reshapes the breasts to a more youthful position and contour. As women age, the breasts lose their shape and firmness due to pregnancy, breast feeding, weight changes, and gravity. If desired, the areola can be restored to a smaller size and repositioned to a higher level on the chest. A mastopexy is done under sedation or general anesthesia and takes 2-3 hours. An implant is often added to restore fullness at the superior aspect of the breast. Incisions are made in a circle around the areola and as a vertical line down the breast. These incisions facilitate removal of the stretched excess skin and allow the nipple to be elevated and centered on the breast mound at a higher level on the chest. Daily activities can be resumed within the first week after surgery. A surgical bra is worn for support for the first two weeks. Return to more strenuous activity can occur in 2-3 weeks.
- Breast ReconstructionThe three most common methods for breast reconstruction are expander - implant reconstruction, latissimus flap reconstruction and TRAM flap reconstruction. Dr. Kreul will explain these procedures to you in detail at the time of your consultation. Breast reconstruction typically requires at least a one night stay in the hospital. Recovery time varies by procedure.

- Thigh LiftThe thigh lift is usually performed on the inner surface of the thighs but can include the outer thigh area and buttock if indicated. General or sedation anesthesia can be used to perform the procedure. Strenuous activity must be avoided for several weeks after surgery.
- Face LiftFace lift surgery restores a more youthful appearance to the neck, jaw, and lower cheek areas by removing excess sagging skin. A face lift helps to redefine more youthful facial features and creates a fresher and more rested appearance. Face lift surgery can be performed with other facial surgical procedures to create an overall rejuvenated appearance.
- BlepharoplastyChanges associated with sun damage, facial aging, and genetics can result in wrinkles, lines, bags, and puffiness around the eyes. This contributes to an overall tired or aged appearance of the face. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, helps to restore a more youthful and rested appearance to your eyes and upper face. It can also improve your vision if you have excessive upper eyelid skin that interferes with peripheral or superior visual fields. A blepharoplasty can involve the upper lids, the lower lids, or both.
- AbdominoplastyAbdominoplasty, or a “tummy tuck,” is performed to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen and to tighten the muscles in the abdominal wall. These excess tissues and stretched abdominal muscles are a result of age, weight gain and loss, and pregnancy. In this procedure, the abdominal wall muscles are tightened and excess fatty tissue and skin are removed to improve the body contour. The result is a narrower, flatter abdomen and better defined waist line. Abdominoplasty is often performed in combination with liposuction to improve the contour of areas such as the flanks, hips and lower back.
