Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consists of several modalities including acupuncture, herbs, massage, nutrition, and Qi Gong. The basis for all these modalities is in the meridian system. Meridians are pathways in the body where energy and blood are said to flow. TCM has been in existence and healing people for thousands of years. Today's TCM practitioner follows precepts and formulas set up by centuries of Chinese Medicine Doctors. Maria-Teresa Bresnan, L.Ac, Dipl. Ac., NTP is a National Board Certified Acupuncturist, licensed Acupuncturist by the state of Oregon, and certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. She received a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, NM, Bachelor degrees in Biology and Geography from the Univ. of Colorado Boulder, and a Nutritional Therapy Certification from the Nutritional Therapy Association.
