gym had a total redo when Future Fitness took it over, there are a lot more machines and equipment. What I do not like is that they never gave it a good cleaning after the construction, I find this gym really dirty. The blinds in the main cardio room are covered in a inch of dust, the rugs need a good vacuuming and the equipment needs to be cleaned down occasionally. The main cardio room is always too warm and the smaller cardio room still smells strongly of paint fumes, it gives me a headache when I work out in there. Some of the equipment in the main cardio room has been broken for months!! Few of the staff are nice but do not find the atmosphere as friendly as when it was Active Fitness. They have a policy that you must use a towel when using the equipment but they randomly enforce, it usually on females only and they are not very nice about it especially the head male trainer.

I like the improvements done at this facility. I am however disapointed with the mens locker room. Not enough lockers and the new showers do not have a shelf for your soap and/or shampoo (I did notice a rack hung around the shower head the other night - really guys) - and maybe some hooks for your towel - not a stick on dollar store hook that broke and fell off the wall. The company has obviously invested a considerable sum to update these facilities and whoever the contractor is needs to pay a little attention to detail - do they live in a cave? My intention is not to be sarcastic, but felt this needed to be brought to your attention..

For all those who are looking for a great gym that has everything, this is where you need to go. The gym literally has every piece of equipment you need to overcome any obstacle in transforming your body into a mean machine. The staff is also really helpful in keeping you motivated and always keep it clean. Id prefer this gym to all ages regardless of what you want to gain from the experience. I promise, this is somewhere you need to check out!

I've been a member at Active Fitness for about 7 years now, and of all the gyms I've joined across the country, this is by far the best. The staff have been very helpful, and my trainer is very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. There is a large variety of equipment and since I go off-peak, I never have to wait for the piece I want. The membership covers a wide range of ages, making this a very comfortable place to work out. Plenty of parking, too.

I'll never go here. Misleading ad and dishonest employee pushed me away. Active Fitness ran an twice in community paper saying, "Pay only $1 until 2011, no restrictions apply". (This would be approx. 2 months for $1). When I stopped in, the girls at the front desk couldn't help me. After several calls, I was told that this is only with a 1 yr. contract and that since I had the same last name as someone who "just happened to sign up that day", I could go under their contract for a reduced monthly rate - but I'd have to keep it a secret -- are you kidding me? What a joke! I'm sticking with my treadmill at home.
