I recently ate breakfast at this restaurant. I wanted one pancake, one egg, and a cup of coffee. I saw that on the children's menu, with two strips of bacon and a small drink-$2.99. When I asked about that, I was told that was for children only, but I could order it. When I got my bill, I was charged $3.95 + $1.40 for coffee =$5.35. I tried to quietly ask why the difference, & the owner said the price for adults was different. My question was, why charge so much more for the same amount of food. Almost immediately, she started yelling that it's on the menu that way and I didn't have to order it. I said I only saw the children's price, and didn't realize they charged more for the same amount of food, if you were older. I tried to say it wasn't fair to her customers, but she wouldn't listen. She went to another customer to get him to defend her, so I walked away. It was just WRONG to bring another customer into it. Then she told my husband to never come back. How rude can you get?

Service has gone downhill. Waitress is outright rude and argumentative. Skimpy portions. Not the same restaurant that first opened. Will not be eating here again, and we used to enjoy it regularly multiple times per week.

The courtesy of the staff has dramatically gone downhill over the past 6 months. What used to be a decent place to eat has turned into a complete waste of money and time. Their portions have become increasingly small, overpriced, and of substandard quality.

If anyone would like to see how the broasted chicken is made. We are more than likely to show how it is made.

Horrible meal. Broasted chicken came out uncooked. I listened to the girl at the register talking about my food saying there was nothing wrong with it and other comments. Then the young girl came to my table to argue with me about my chicken. Not to mention she was handling my food after the money. We also didn't get out salads or all of our side dishes. Ended up with a $45 bill for a disgusting meal. Would not recommend, wont even take it home for my dog.

The Broasted Chicken they advertise is actually fried chicken. I have had it twice. It is ok, but not Broasted. Why do they claim that it is? Ask to see the Broaster and watch them make it. A Broaster if a pressure cooker from the Broasting Company and there are special products used to make it. You can see through the service counter how they are cooking it. It is a shame. Why not tell the truth?

April 2010. Since opening recently, my wife and I have had breakfast and the evening meal at West Main Family Restaurant. It is clean, provides good service, and the food is good. As it is close to where we live, we will eat there again from time-to-time. DAL
