- Pediatric CareWe, the Partners, and our work family at Burlington Pediatrics and Mebane Pediatrics, mourn with our community. We grieve the murder of George Floyd and too many other black men and women whose lives have senselessly been taken. We are listening to the voices within our community and to those across the nation who are protesting racial injustice.
- Primary CareWe are excited to announce that Evina Nonato, PNP will be joining Burlington Pediatrics in March, 2023! She grew up in Raleigh, NC and is relocating to our community. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and holds her Masters of Science in Nursing from Duke University, specializing in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care. In addition to her over eight years of outpatient PNP experience, she also spent 3 years working inpatient pediatrics at Duke Medical Center prior to graduate school. Please help us welcome Mrs. Nonato to our Provider Team!
- Family PracticeCome grow with us! If you are a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of APP pediatric or family medicine primary care experience, that loves caring for families and wants to work in a supportive, outpatient pediatrics setting, please send your CV to HR@burlingtonpeds.com.
- Emergency CareAs a patient, it means having peace of mind in visiting a new health care providers office. If your information has been uploaded to NC HealthConnex, your new provider will be able to access your health history. Participating in the NC HealthConnex is even more important if you visit an emergency department at a participating hospital and you are unable to provide critical information about your current health status to hospital staff, including your diagnoses, medications, and allergies.
- Urinary Incontinence
- ImmunizationsThe COVID-19 vaccination is required for all employees, medical staff, professional students, and volunteers. All new hires are required to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine series prior to their first day of employment. New hires must receive the second dose within 35 days of their first day of employment. This is a condition of employment unless a religious or medical exemption is approved. To be considered for an exemption requested documentation must be submitted prior to the deadline set once an offer of employment is made.
- Pregnancy
- AutismWe believe in vaccines! Vaccines are safe. Vaccines do not cause autism. One of the most important ways we can protect your child’s health and the health of our community is to vaccinate against deadly, preventable diseases. If you would like to discuss vaccines, our physicians welcome any questions or concerns. We follow the standard immunization schedule as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control. We do not advocate alternative vaccine schedules, since there is no proven benefit. Any delays will only place your child at unnecessary risk. If you choose not to vaccinate, we ask that you find another healthcare provider whose medical philosophy is compatible with your views. Please view our Vaccine Policy
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Prescription refills are provided as a convenience to our patients who are up-to-date on well visits and adhere to recommended follow-up schedules for conditions such as ADHD and asthma. Most prescription refill requests will be completed within 3 business days. Prior Authorizations or other request for information from insurance providers may delay the request. For routine medication refills, please contact your pharmacy. We do not accept phone refill requests during evening and weekend hours. As a rule, we will not call in antibiotics without first examining your child, as this is not consistent with good medical care.
- Mental HealthWe have specially trained staff to provide Care Coordination with Early Childhood Mental Health Specialists and Community Based Services. We have established co-management agreements with our trusted local behavioral health specialists, such as Carolina Child Psychology, that helps our patients have access to care and facilitates the coordination of care between our offices to better support our families in their evaluation and treatment of behavioral or mental health concerns.
