Cascade Steel is an electric arc furnace steel manufacturing plant that manufactures a broad range of customer-specified steel products. Its products include concrete reinforcing bar, merchant bar, coiled rebar, wire rod and special sections. The company sells its rebar and merchant bar products into the steel fabrication industry and its wire rod to the wire drawing industry. Its rebar is used in the construction of highways and commercial or residential construction and merchant shapes are primarily used in commercial and industrial construction. Its computerized melt shop includes a more than 108 ton capacity electric arc furnace and a five-strand continuous billet caster. The ladle furnace facilitates the manufacture of premium grade billets. The melt shop also features enhanced steel chemistry refining capabilities, that allows the company to develop new products with special alloy-quality grades of steel. Cascade Steel is headquartered in McMinnville, Ore., and also has a warehouse distribution depot in El Monte, Calif.
