They do not give you enough for your clothes . I had about 800 dollars worth of clothes that they wanted to pay me 50.

Very bad service, they did not take any of my items but one, I had several items with tags still attached which came from a major department store. I was not impressed with this establishment at all and I will not refer anyone to Clothes Mentor.
I've never tried selling clothes here so I can't speak to that, but I went in last week and found some fantastic deals! I got several Ann Taylor tops, some Banana Republic dress slacks (with the tags still attached) and walked out feeling like I should've given them a lot more money than I did. It was great! I'll definitely stop here the next time I'm looking to refresh my wardrobe -- it's way better than dropping a bundle at the mall, and no one will ever know the difference!

I have visited Clothes Mentor in McKinney many times. In the last six months I have lost 95 pounds & went in today to sell my larger clothes. (only the newer & nicer ones). I thought when I took my clothes to sell at Clothes Mentor in McKinney Texas they were more friendly to larger women than Plato's Closet but I found out today they are discriminatory to people selling larger clothes. I've been told that they don't take walmart & old navy brands but I found both on the rack in size 26/28 but they said they didn't take 26/28 clothes. I was told this buy a boy who was probably 18. He said they didn't take clothes more than 2 years old. But the clothes he offered to buy were more than 3 years old but the ones I bought 6 months ago he wouldn't take. I decided not to go there ever again because I feel they didn't buy my clothes because they were larger even though there were lots on the shelves. Shame on You Clothes Mentor. Horrible service. I had heard good things about this store, so I thought I'd give them a try... Don't waste your time selling your beautiful items to these people. They say their policy is to buy up until 5 but they flat out turned me away. Their reason "we'll be here until 10pm as it is". So, what's more important? Stocking quality items for their store? And presenting a good face to a discerning public? Or bending the hours to better serve themselves. The kicker? I even called before I went down there to make sure they'd be willing to help me...Not so much.
