Lloyd and Dolly Bentsen Elementary School, established in 2005, serves the educational needs of students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school has an enrollment of more than 600 students and teaches various subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, health education and language arts. It has a fully equipped library and media center that offers various student research links and resources. The school also provides various food items for breakfast and lunch. Its parent-teacher association sponsors various family events and academic enrichment programs throughout the school year. It also offers before- and after-school tutoring programs, and governs the Saturday Morning Tutoring Academy. The school provides a variety of extracurricular activities, such as chess club, Destination Imagination, science fair, student council and cheerleading.
