The clients desired a vacation home and guest house designed to reflect the local historic precedent. The ground floor is elevated on a handmade masonry plinth above flood levels. Use of antique pine floors and cypress paneling creates a warm and richly textured ambiance. The centerline of an existing avenue of juniper trees align with the guest house entrance.
