Established in 1957, Montour High School is a college-preparatory school that provides education to students in grades nine through 12. The school offers advanced placement, honors, technology and occupational education programs. It offers advanced placement courses in English, science, history, and math. The clubs and organizations offered by the school includes the National Honor Society, drama and environmental club, law team, student council, newspaper, and math, physics and science Olympic teams. It also offers career-oriented courses through the Parkway West Area Vocational Technical School in subjects, including culinary arts and masonry. It additionally offers fine arts enrichment program that includes sculpture, painting, and graphics. The music curriculum of the school comprises symphonic, concert, chorus and jazz ensembles. Montour High School is approved by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the Department of Education of Pennsylvania. The school is located in McKees Rocks, Pa.
