DO NOT TAKE A WEDDING DRESS TO DE MINO’S. THIS DRY CLEANER IS NOT RECOMMENDED WHATSOEVER.
When I picked up my wedding dress, I could see through the bag that the dress was DESTROYED. I demanded to inspect the dress and found that the design had MELTED off the dress with CLUMPS OF GLITTER everywhere, the bust pads were TORN, the under bustle was never even undone, and the top bustle had large quarter sized HOLES where the fasteners were. As appalled as I was at the condition of my wedding dress, I was just as appalled at the fact that the BUSINESS WAS ALLOWING ME TO PICK UP THE DRESS WITHOUT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING THE DAMAGE.
The owners first response was to say he did not realize it had happened or he would’ve told me. This tells me the owner is both NEGLIGENT and CARELESS IN HIS DRY CLEANING AND BUSINESS PRACTICES.
He soon followed up by saying that he did nothing wrong. He took NO OWNERSHIP OVER THE DAMAGE, no apology, and had the audacity to tell me that he would not compensate me at all for the damage. He was DEFENSIVE AND RUDE.
I understand that things happen. I am deeply upset that my wedding dress was destroyed. However, THE TERRIBLE MANOR IN WHICH THIS BUSINESS ADDRESSED THE ISSUE IS JUST AS ATROCIOUS. A business that took no responsibility for the damage, tried to give me my dress back hoping I wouldn’t notice all of the damage, and then was rude and denied action when I demanded some sort of reconciliation is a BUSINESS I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
After several weeks, a resolution was attained. However, I had to advocate hard for that resolution, which should never be the case. Companies who make mistakes should be forthcoming and propose solution options immediately. Did this owner mean to destroy my dress? No. But the way he conducted his business after the fact is what leads me to write this review WARNING BRIDES (AND EVERYONE) TO AVOID THIS DRY CLEANER
