Established in 1797, John de la Howe School offers education to students in grades five through ten. The school is fully accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education. In addition to its regular faculty, the school includes a guidance counselor and a media specialist. Its campus includes cottages, chapel, infirmary, school, family center, administration buildings, and historic buildings. John de la Howe School also provides a variety of family and enrichment programs. It offers extra-curricular and program that include writing, public speaking and leadership skills. It provides various programs for writers, artists and designers. The school offers a variety of enrichment courses that include digital movie making, Web design, Israeli dancing and musical theater. John de la Howe School provides learning classes through service learning, student internships, science fairs and class trips.
