Horace Maynard Middle School, located in Maynardville, Tenn., is a part of the Union County School District. It serves more than 770 students in grades six through eight. The school offers education on a range of subjects that includes English, math, science, reading and social studies. It provides various special education programs, including journalism and music education. It specializes in various extracurricular activities that include computer keyboarding and physical education. It also offers a variety of sports activities, such as golf, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball and soccer. The school operates various clubs, including history, geography and band. In addition, it provides transportation services to its students.

I attend this school and it isn't a perfect school,but it isn't a bad one either. I'm going into eighth grade,and I'm starting to notice that the only problem with this school is that it has great janitors and workers that work themselves to death and some of which i know have been working there a long time!Most have worked there for 10-20 years. Its ridiculous.The teachers blame the kids for certain things and they need to mind their own business. I plainly stated that,"It wasn't my fault I was there." The teacher stated,"It Isn't my fault you did it." That Teacher sent me to the principal's office and they punished me for something done by another student.

Hoarce Maynard is an ok school. Tons of volience and drama.
