Mattoon Flower Shop has been proudly serving Mattoon since 1936. We are family owned and operated with 1 location serving the Mattoon area. The business was started as a small shop and one greenhouse. Since a geenhouse was already on the existing property, John Robert "Bob" Irons, founder of what is now Mattoon Flower Shop and Greenhouses, taught himself the art of Horticulture. Dan and jRena took over ownership in 1943 after Dan was released from the service.They worked together for many years in the business, only cutting back on hours in the last few years. On May 1, 2004 Dan and Rena made the decision to retire. They sold the business to 30 year employee Cathy Bunyard and her husband, Ed. They will continue to be committed to offering only the finest floral arrangements and gifts, backed by service that is friendly and prompt. Because all of our customers are important, our professional staff is dedicated to making your experience a pleasant one. That is why we always go the extra mile to make your floral gift perfect.
