  We are fully licensed, insured, and all BWC premiums are paid. We do NOT hire subcontractors to complete our work on your property (example: other companies may hire a separate stump removal company or separate company with a crane). We own all of the necessary equipment your job may need, and do all of the work ourselves. This helps to keep costs down on both ends! And gives you peace of mind knowing you have a skilled, qualified and protected company working on your real estate.

  Berens Tree & Excavating is a family owned and operated company, celebrating over 40 years of service in the tree industry. Joe Berens Sr. started his first company, named Joe's Tree in 1975. Five years later, Joe Sr. purchased an already established company, M&M Tree, and operated under that company name for over 15 years. In 1995, Joe Sr. decided to restructure the business and use his family name again as the namesake of the company, as his name was becoming a trusted standard within the industry. He became synonymous with dedication and hard work. The company is still operating under the same name today, Berens Tree & Excavating. In 2009, to further the knowledge of the company, Joe Berens Jr. received a degree from the Ohio State University in Landscape Design & Maintenance. The company has evolved over the years to best meet the demands of their clients, and will continue to evolve to satisfy the needs of every single customer.
