Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Nassau County, also known as Nassau BOCES, serves more than 50 school districts of Nassau County in New York. It is guided by a nine-member board elected by the members of boards of education in component districts. Established in 1967, its services include career training for high school students and adults, special education, alternative schools, technology education and teacher training. The organization s school library system organizes various staff development programs, and offers interlibrary loan of books, periodicals and commercial information databases through cooperative purchasing. Its adult learning center offers free courses to adults above the age of 21 without high school diplomas. Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Nassau County is located in Garden City, N.Y.
