Cooper's Original Pit Bar-B-Q was established in 1953 by the late George Cooper. Duard Dockal worked for Mr. Cooper for seven years prior to purchasing this business in 1983. In April 2014, Lindell L. & Pam Estes became the third owners of this establishment. The same recipes and cooking styles from years ago are still being used. We specialize in bar-b-q that is grilled in a pit over mesquite coals. Orders are placed from the pit as well and we have an array of meats to choose from: brisket, chicken, pork loin, turkey breast, pork chops, ribs, sausage, and goat. Our sides are made in house and from scratch which would include beans (that are free with a meat order), cole slaw, and potato salad. Our spicy rub, tangy vinegar based pit sauce, and thick red sauce are homemade as well.
