The Great Marsh Garden Club of Rowley hosted Sue Andersen of Mason Hollow Nursery as the featured guest speaker for November. Sue and her husband Chuck graciously travelled from Mason, NH to Rowley, MA to our club meeting. Sue provided an information packed presentation, which included over a hundred beautiful images of the various types of hostas. Sue and Chuck are accomplished gardeners and horticulturists. She is an active member of many plant societies including the American Hosta Society. The depth of Sue's knowledge was apparent in her ability to easily field and pose questions to the audience tailoring her delivery to the novice and expert gardener alike. Sue provided tips for combining, planting, dividing, and identification thereof. The feedback received from the Rowley Garden Club members was overwhelmingly positive. We are all anxious to followup on the presentation with a field trip this spring to tour the Mason Hollow hosta nursery and display gardens in Mason, NH.
