Dr. Crosara provides in-depth evaluation and management of adult patients with bacterial, fungal, parasitic and viral diseases. Infectious Diseases Consultation service includes prevention of infections during foreign travel, and those associated with states of immunosuppression. She received her medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, in Brazil. She completed her first Internal Medicine residency in Brazil, followed by an Internal Medicine residency in Des Moines, Iowa. Fellowship-trained in Infectious Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Crosara is well versed in the diagnostic tools needed to determine the cause of infection and the best approach to treatment. Outside of her practice, Dr. Crosara has volunteered countless hours to multiple organizations and contributed to publications and presentations. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology (SHEA), Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and HIVMA.
