- PregnancyChiropractic practitioners can provide safe and effective personalized care throughout your pregnancy and in the postpartum period. A thorough examination will determine the best treatment to address your discomfort and prepare the body for the height of pregnancy and childbirth. There are specialized adjustment methods to accommodate pregnancy. These treatments may reduce the need for pain medications throughout the delivery as well as help to reduce labor time. Follow up treatments can assist in realigning the body after the pregnancy, speeding the transition to a healthy post-pregnancy body.
- Labor and DeliveryCase Two: Dr Zachary assisted a different mom with chiropractic care from conception to labor and delivery. Her major goal was a safe and healthy birth of her child. Dr Zachary assessed her spine and adjusted the areas of her nervous system that were weak, helping to reduce morning sickness, balance, mood stability and, eventually, to stabilize her low back and pelvis in preparation for labor. Dr Zachary also had the opportunity to be invited to her home birth. This was a benefit to the mother in labor by helping keep her nervous system strong, her blood pressure lower, and reduce the abnormal stress to her lower back and pelvis due to birth. The baby was born healthy at home without any invasive procedures or interventions.

- SciaticaThe physical stress of pregnancy can lead to a great deal of discomfort. It’s common for women to complain of low back pain while pregnant, as well as related issues, such as sciatica, leg cramps, and constipation. This can lead to difficulty performing daily routines as well as difficulties in labor.
- WhiplashIf your brain doesn’t send appropriate protective messages to your core trunk muscles, you will have a higher risk of developing low back injuries. A lack of core stability means you’re creating mini whiplash injuries to your spine each time you move around or lift your arm or leg.
