Lowcarbers, some McD's restaurants have been approached by clients for "low carb" options, i.e. : "make that without the bun, thanks!" In response, such as McD's in Hilo, Hawaii, you are presented with the burger in a box, the patty presented on a nice leaf of lettuce, accompanied with fork and knife without having to ask. Very nice touch, and as a result I didn't mind eating fast food once in a while.I experienced the same treatment of my food at a few other fast food restaurants, but not this one.Although they did put my 2 burgers together in a breakfast box of some kind, no lettuce. They did provide utensils. It just may take awhile for all the McD's to get their act together like Hardees has.I was also asked during this visit if I wanted my gift card back. Heck yes! I still had about $5 credit left on it! I would eat there again, but there are alot of places I'll be trying before I get back around to this location!
