Virginia Glass Products Corporation is a leading manufacturer of architectural tempered glass and all-glass entrance doors, as well as ceramic enameled frit spandrel and insulating glass for the commercial construction market. A wholly owned subsidiary of Virginia Mirror Company, it started operations in 1956 as one of the first temperers in the United States. It is one of the oldest manufacturers of all-glass entrances and doors and has been a pioneer in the use of the Thermo Plastic Spacer warm-edge spacer system in the manufacture of its SureSeal Insulating glass. Production of tempered and insulating glass products is located in Ridgeway, Va., in a 110,000-square- foot facility that includes automated cutting lines, horizontal tempering furnaces, a fully automated insulating glass line in a climate-controlled environment and numerous glass fabrication machines for edge polishing, notching, drilling and pattern shaping of glass.
