My heat went out in the evening & I thought I would be out of luck until the next morning. A friend told me to call this company & I did. To my surprise, someone answered the phone after 7pm and within an hour a repairman was at my door. They were very courteous and knowledgeable and even though I was worried about the expense because it was after hours, it wasn't as expensive as I expected. Their normal rates are very reasonable, as are the emergency rates. Everyone I have dealt with has been very nice. I was extremely pleased and would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Called Appalachian a little after 9pm on a Friday. A REAL LIVE PERSON answered, not a machine. I could hear a small child in the background, which put me at ease, knowing I had found a family oriented company. She was very helpful, explaining the fees & the process since it was after hours, even saying she could schedule me in 1st thing Monday morning because I was concerned about what the cost may be. I opted to have the tech come out that night. She said the tech would call when he was on his way & within 15 minutes he called. Bobby, the tech, was very polite and knowledgable. He diagnosed the problem quickly & lucky for me had the part on his van. From my initial phone call to the completed repair took approx. 2 hrs. I will most definitely continue to use this continue to use this company and highly recommend them. I am always leery of contractors, being a single mom, because I feel I have been taken advantage of in the past. Thank God I found a trustworthy company!
this company has totally refused to communicate with us about our Heat Pump - they said they would order the part needed, but after that we've never been able to get any information or update from them - get an answering service - never call back. This has gone on for two months, and now we're finished with them and don't recommend them for anything.
I had a two quotes for a new heating and ac system. Appalachian Heating and Air gave us a price that was half of the price from another company!! I was impressed all around and even though the prices were lower the quality was and is GREAT!!!
